Bigelow announced at lunch that he will be putting up a three-person space station in late 2009 or early 2010, about fifty percent bigger than an ISS module. He also announced that he and Lockmart have a joint agreement to study what it will take to human rate the Atlas V for commercial passenger transport.

Ok, I still want my flying car, dammit, but a vacation in orbit would make up for that by a longshot - even if I do get spacesick. The future is turning out pretty cool after all. I always knew it would.

Yeah, it's a lot of fun here...and it'll only get better after 2012. (If you adjust your frequency, you might just get your flying car.) |
